Create Trusted List. With using TLEdit you can create the initial Trusted List for your member state with a few mouse click. Scheme information part of the Trusted List is already filled with mandatory and optional information specified in the standard, based on your member state selection.
Edit Trusted List. TLEdit has an easy to use graphical interface which consists a navigation tree on the left side and a data pane on the right side. Navigation tree indicates every service type and service status with an unique icon. Yellow triangle icon indicates a provider, service or service history instance which does not conform to requirements specified by the standard. The tooltip of the node or the content audit service available in the popup menu informs you what to do to correct the error on such item. By right clicking on a node in the navigation tree and selecting the proper menu item in the popup menu, you can add or modify providers, services and service history instances.

Maintain Trusted List. TLEdit stores the Trusted Lists in UTF-8 encoded XML files. You can save the modified Trusted List to a file and later you can open and work on it again. TLEdit remembers the recently opened and saved files, these files will be displayed on the right pane of the file chooser to provide fast opening and saving service.

Content audit of Trusted List. TLEdit provides content audit function by clicking on the root node in the navigation tree. Content audit report works as a conformance checker, contains detailed description about every problematic item.
XML validation of Trusted List. If there is no yellow triangle in the navigation tree, it is ensured, all the XML generated by TLEdit is syntactically and semantically correct. The only one exception to this rule, some type of service information extension, where the content can be edited as free XML text.

Sign Trusted List. One of the most important feature of TLEdit is the signing capability which creates signature on the machine processable form (XML) and on the human readable form (PDF) of Trusted List. It supports every type of cryptographic signature creation device which has PKCS#11 interface or handled by Microsoft CryptoAPI (only on Windows) or signing key stored in PKCS#12 format file. The created signature is fully compliant with the signature requirements specified in the standard.
Verify Trusted List. TLEdit provides signature verification service. By clicking on the signature node in navigation tree or by clicking on the proper button on the toolbar, TLEdit verifies the signature on the opened Trusted List with public key from the supposed Trusted List signing certificate. If no supposed certificate has been selected, TLEdit verifies the signature with public key contained in the signature, and performs certificate path building and validation of the signing certificate found in the signature.
Create Trusted List in “machine processable” format. No additional step is required. TLEdit stores and saves the Trusted List in the machine processable XML format.
Create Trusted List in “human readable” format. By clicking on the root node in navigation tree, TLEdit displays the content audit report and a button to create human readable format. You can select whether the generated PDF include Table of Contents or no. TLEdit signs the generated PDF document with PAdES Basic signature if the PDF signing checkbox has been checked. The human readable format created by TLEdit is fully conform to PDF/A specification, so long-term reproducibility is guaranteed.
Analyze Trusted Lists of other member states. With using TLEdit you can automatically download, open, and look into Trusted Lists of other member states. TLEdit is also able to open and display the List of Lists (LOTL) published by the European Commission.
Cross-border signature verification and check against TSL. With using TLEdit you can verify the full scale of XAdES type electronic signatures coming from other or your Member State. TLEdit displays the signature verification result, all the validated PKI tokens (certificates, time-stamps, OCSP responses, certificate revocations lists) and provides also information on the supervised/accredited status of the service issued the PKI token based on the trusted list of the relevant Member State.
